How to change bearer capability on VG224 ports

Hello,

we can't send faxes to Eumex PBX's, because their fax ports are configured to fax only. When we send a fax from a machine connected to a VG224, it goes out to the ISDN Gateway with

Bearer Capability i = 0x8090A3

Standard = CCITT

Transfer Capability = Speech

To change this to 0x9090A3

3.1 KHz Audio G.711 A-law

which should help in this case I think

I tried

Any suggestion or ideas?

Hello Jo,

I have run into a similar problem. What you should try is the following:

I don't know if the VGW is MGCP or H.323 controlled, however if MGCP controlled, you should change the description in CM GW page!!!

End-Point name should be left the way it is, Description must be modified to ##BC=3.1kHz##

Then Shut, No shut your E1 controller and test it out again! It should work.

For H.323 you should configure "#bearer-cap 3100hz" on the voice port...
