Hello,

I have a couple 4400 DMPs that need to be turned on and off remotely.  How can this be done via a remote command and what is the command?  These DMPs are not connected to a DMM.

Thanks,

Jason

Try this to "RESTART" your DMP.

https://admin:default@w.x.y.z:7777/set_param?mng.reboot=1

admin= username assigned to access DMP

default= your dmp password

a.b.c.d= the IP address of your DMP

Let me know if this works. I do not have a DMP to test this on right now.

Thanks Keith.

I have used this command but I was wondering if it were possible to power down the DMP at say 10 PM and then start it back up at 8 AM.

Or do the DMPs typically run all the time?

Thanks,

Jason

Jason,

In most of our deployments we leave the DMP on all the time but we schedule turning the monitors on and off.

John

Jason,

4400's DMP Power consumption:

• Peak: 30W; average: 15W

Also John is correct. Scheduling down time of the LCD's would be the better "green initiative" here :-)

Hopefully your displays have the RS232 option. If so and you need a quick start see:
