ICS 7750 - UPS & Graceful Shutdown

Hello,

I'm looking to attach an APC Smart UPS as explained at: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/voiceapp/ps967/products_administration_guide_chapter09186a0080080b90.html#1027878

How do I configure the SAP to do a graceful shutdown of the ICS 7750 and all devices in it when the battery level reaches a certain point?

As far as I know, there is no support for graceful shutdown of the system. The SAP can only monitor and report the UPS state. The administrator has to manually shutdown the system following any alert generated.

There was a feature request for graceful shutdown sometime. I do not really know if it has been implemented yet. Any one has the latest info?

Of course, you can try out the 3rd party software to shutdown the system, but as cisco always warns, you must try them out on some test environment for sometime before deploying them in production.
