In CM 3.2(2c), is it possible to change where a vmail originated from?

Here's the scenario...

- we have an exec & their admin -- both with 7940's

- admin has her boss' ext. as a shared line appearance on her phone

- boss is away / call comes in on his line / admin picks up call from her phone

- caller wants to be transfered to boss' vmail

- she hits transfer / dials VM main # / dials <boss' 4-digit> <#2> / transfer

- boss gets back and listens to vmail

- boss responds to vmail

- boss' vmail response ends up on admin's vmail

We've also tried creating a TransferToVM profile and defining a TransferToVM CTI port. Same thing. One of the reasons for upgrading to 3.2(2c) was to hopefully resolve this issue.

Hi,

Using CCM 3.2 there is no way to avoid this. The reason is that by the time the admin completes the transfer, Unity has already locked into the CallInfo message sent by CallManager during the initial part of the transfer. Even though CallManager sends updated CallInfo when the transfer is completed, Unity does not use this information.

Using CCM 3.3, this can be accomplished using the new Cisco IPMA (IP Manager-Assistant) feature.

Thank you.
