Hi,
a customer wants to install the a IP Communicator on a Win2003 Server (he uses it as a client OS). Cisco say only install on 2000 WS or XP. Is it possible to install it anyway?
thanks Achim

I've not tried this myself, however I have extensive experience of installing applications on Windows 2003 Server for Terminal Services/Citrix projects...
Occasionally you will find incompatibilities but by and large programs work fine is they work on XP. I'd suggest giving it a try - the worst you are likely to find is that the app doesn't work (you'll probably not do any harm to the OS).
If it doesn't work post back and we'll help you troubleshoot it..

Hi Aaron,
the installation is interupted with the message that it only can be installed on XP / 2000. So I can`t test it. I need a trick to tell the installer that he see a 2000 / XP.
