Hi all,
on my IP Phones I obtain "From Private" instead of calling number when I call from PSTN.
Voice Gateway correctly passes calling number to CCM (I see it from ISDN debugs on VG and from CCM traces on CallManager), so I don't know why CCM doesn't pass calling number to IP Phones or why CCM tells IP Phones to display this kind of message (From Private).
Any ideas?
CCM version is 3.3(4) with sr1, and I've only 1 server and 1 Voce Gateway.
Thanks
Regards
Roberto

Look at the traces and see if anywhere you see 'calling party presentation restricted' This is typically the cause. If you see that, somewhere along the line, whether in a translation or route pattern, etc. you may have this set to restricted.
The Q931 translator will help show you if the presentation was set to restricted by the PSTN.
Typically you set the presentation to default to accept whatever the PSTN gives you, allowed to force it on, and restricted to show 'from private'
That being said, we hit a bug in 3.2 that had calls from one subscriber to another show from private because of a dialing forest bug.

I forced "allowed" on the Voice GW and "default" on other things (route pattern, etc.).
Consider that the VG has 2 E1: 1 directed to a PBX and 1 to PSTN, and the other works (presents the calling number).
