Hi people, I have a Cisco Ip Softphone installed on Win XP, and the IP Softphone only works when I logged power user or administrator.
When I logged "normal user" the IP Softphone do not works.
What can happens? Anybody have a tip about this???
Thanks.....

Sounds like an issue with access permissions and that softphone is trying to access the registry. Normal users do not have access to the registry, only power users and administrators have this option.
We had a similar proble with Web Attendant when first installed. Admin log in worked fine, but normal users wouldn't work. Added the normal user to the local admins group and this resolved teh issue.
Only other way would be to modify the permissions on the 2 main registry keys:
HKLM/software/Cisco Systems/Cisco IP Softphone/1.3 &
HKLM/software/Cisco Systems, Inc./Cisco TSP
and give the normal users elevated permissions on these Keys.
You might also want to check out the Softphones user guides at :

BTW - Windows XP is not listed as asupported OS's under Softphone 1.3(2a) User Guide System Requirements, so you might not get support from TAC.

Thank for your help, but I resolved this issue changing the permissions of paste, give the privilege access to users.
If you would have more Ip Softphone tips, i thank you.
