JTAPI subsystem not running........

I was trying to get TAPS to run but the JTAPI subsystem will not run. TAC has had me re-install the JTAPI client (1.3-1.15) but this produced mixed results. Before the re-install it would never run. Now it runs for a bit and display's a status of "PARTIAL_SERVICE" before becoming "OUT_OF_SERVICE" again. I can not find anything to help me resolve this issue. Perhaps I have not uninstalled JTAPI correctly, I used the Add/Remove feature of Win2k Serv. Perhaps I have to re-install the entirety of Apps(2.2-4) but I would rather not.

Any Ideas or similar issues?? I am running CM 3.2.2c

This happens when the JTAPI client is installed in the wrong directory. It should be installed in C:\Winnt\Java\Lib.

Solution:

1. Un-install the JTAPI Client from Add/Remove Programs (Control Panel)

2. Re-install the JTAPI Client from the Call Manager Plug-Ins.

3. Make sure you put in the C:\Winnt\Java\Lib directory when prompted for the destination of the Client Installation.

It appears that the Cm upgrade process had created a missmatch in JTAPi versions. After uninstalling the second time I re-installed from the add-in page, I had to delete the JTAPI app and re-create it with the same name as the CTI Route point. Once the engine restarted is listed as "Partial Service" because the TAPS service was configured but not registered to the JTAPI User in CM. making this change and restarting the engin had everything come up roses.

It all seems quite obtuse to me, but perhaps the next release will clear this up.

Also - the BAT Admin doc does not tell you to register the TAPS devices to the JTAPI user. It misstates the directions by simply saying " Create a user and associate the devices" i made the mistake of creating a JTAPI user as well as a TAPS user.
