Hello,
It's possible to configure the Cisco IP Communicator to list the local directory confgured on the CCME 4.0? On 7906 and 7940/60 the local directory is enabled by default but not in the CIPC.
Is There any way to change the language on the CIPC?
Thank You
Gerard

Hi Gerard,
For resolve the issue, put in the ephone configuration mode the line "type CIPC":
!
ephone 8
username "try" password try
mac-address 000F.AAAA.BBBB
type CIPC
button 1:6
!
!
Then, in telephony-service configuration mode put "create cnf-files" command and then reset the phone.
Now, you should find the directory list.
I hope this help you.
Let me know if that works by rating the posts.

Hi Rocco,
Thanks for your answer,
I configured all you say without any result. Ip communicator say "Host not found". I noticed that on the "device configuration menu" there are a "directories URL" configured with http://192.168.10.50:80/localdirectory (ccme ip) and as you know, ccme don't have a internal .xml directory file.
May be i have to import the local directory to a .xml file on the flash, but i don't know how to do it.

Hi,
This mean that on the router with CME software you have this command (i tested this one too):
___________
telephony-service
url directories http://192.168.10.50:80/localdirectory
___________
Please remove this line with the following command:
telephony-service
no url directories http://192.168.10.50:80/localdirectory
Remember that CCME create an internal Direcotry list with the name command in the ephone-dn configuration; you don't have to define any url directorie line. If you want to personalize your ccme directory list, under telephony-service config, you have to put this command:
directory entry 1 00000000 name John SMith
directory entry 2 11111111 name Cisco Systems
directory entry 3 23456789 name Try&buy
.....
Please let me know.

Thank you very much for your patience Diego.
May be I need to reload the router or change the ip source-address to data vlan (now the ip source-address is the voice vlan addres)
I noticed on the attached document that you have the CIPC in italian language, how do you change the language?
