Memory consumption of Jabber for Windows in a Citrix Virtual Desktop?

Hello,

I am looking for the RAM consumption of Jabber for Windows 9.x on a Citrix virtual environnement. The total amount of RAM available for the virtual desktop is a bit limited so I would like to know the exact consumption of memory.

Does anybody have the answer?

Hi Julien,

We are still working on performance figures and we should have more details available when the software is generally available.

The amount of HVD RAM that is used is dependent on a number of factors including number of Jabber contacts and HVD operating system.

In the current beta release, on average Jabber will consume about 40MB of RAM.

Hi Carlo,

Jabber system requirements in a HVD are the same as on a standard desktop deployment. While overall average CPU/Memory load may be lower as there is no local voice/video encode and decode, we do not differentiate between system requirements at this time.
