Multiple VTP domains

Hi,

Here is the situation, we have one distribution switch which contains one VTP domain that is in transparant mode version 2. Next to that we have a VTP domain running on our core switches, also running VTP v2. When we connect a new switch on our distribution switch, we are not able to get any VTP updates of the core. Trunks are open to allow our native vlan that we use. According to our external network engineer,this should work with no problem. But still we face this issue.

Any one any ideas what we still can do ? If any more info is needed let me know.

If both are transparent then even if different vtp domain there is no problem.

If both not transparent then vtp different domain prevent exchange vtp between two SW.

What has this to do with anything related to Collaboration? VTP is a switching technology and you would be better off to ask your question in the network switching part of the community.
