Nexus 3120q-v and CVR-QSFP-SFP10G

I’m trying to get a 40G port on this nexus to use as a 1gb or 10GB sfp+ port with the cvr-qsfp-sfp10g adapter. The nexus shows the adapter and the sfp connected. But I don’t get a link light when connecting a device. I tried setting the speed on the port to 1000 or 10000 and I get the error “speed 10g configuration is not supported on interface.

What am I missing?

i do not believe 1GB works but 10G should work.( again what port you are using ?)
