Ocationally line error in fax machine connected to an ATA 186 with CCM

Sometimes the customer report line error or error communication in a fax machine connected to an ATA 186 trying to send a fax in a cisco CallManager 3.2.3 enviroment even with a fax machine conneted ATA to ATA or a fax machine connected to ATA to a PSTN fax. to go out to the PSTN we have 1751 router with VIC-FXO.

You have to upgrade the ATA 186 to atleast 2.15 and this will solve your problem.

One thing I did that helped my faxing consistency was I disabled ECM (error correction mode) on the Fax Machine's that gave me weird error communications messages. This usually fixed it with my ATA running v215 with the default Audio/Connect mode.

What is the 1751 setup for MGCP or H323?
