PerfLib "DNS" Errors on system running Unity

Hi,

I just reviewed my event log on my unity system and am seeing a huge number of perflib errors and they seem to be related to DNS. What could be the issue here and how could I clean these up. Thanks

Registration of the DNS record '_gc._tcp.Default-First-Site-Name._sites.acsip.on.ca. 600 IN SRV 0 100 3268 ICS-436af0a2f7e.acsip.on.ca.' failed with the following error:

DNS operation refused.

The Open Procedure for service "DNS" in DLL "C:\W2KS\System32\dnsperf.dll" failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. Status code returned is data DWORD 0.

These were two different messages, both errors, and I thought that they may be related. Thanks again

actually, I was gunning for the full event log entry information - the easiest way to do this is to use the "copy" button on the event log viewer which will include the event source, event Id and all that good stuff as well as the text of the error itself - this way we can look things up in online databases - makes it easier to find possible solutions that way.

Hi !

You're first error message is associated with the fact .. that the DNS Server configure for the Network Interface on the server is not configure to "Allow Dynamic Update

Ensure that :

- The DNS Parameter for the NIC is set to blank (this will set the DNS to : 127.0.0.1), or the local IP Address of the UNITY .

- Ensure that the DNS Service is started on UNITY
