Does anyone know if there is a minimum spec for a web server to run IP Phone services.
A client is asking for specifics, and I can't find info on any data sheets.
Will a standard desktop PC suffice?
Many thanks

I am not aware of any specific spec sheet for phone services.
The requirements taken from the IP Phone SDK version 3.3(4) are:
* Microsoft IIS 4.0 or later (for ASP sample services)
*Sun J2SE 1.3 or later and Tomcat 4.0 or later (for JSP sample services)
*Internet Connection to external websites like Yahoo.com, Cnn.com etc.
*Cisco Call Manager 3.3(4) or later, or 4.0(2) or later.
*Cisco 7940/7960 or other XML services-enabled IP Phone
Just think of a web service as a web application being requested by IP Phones, and provision your web server appropriately.
