Proximity draining laptop battery

We have noticed laptops reduced battery life when Proximity agent is loaded on to a laptop.  It runs the battery down almost 50% faster.  A 5hour battery life is reduced to 3hrs with app then back to normal when app is removed. What can be done here is there a setting that can be used to reduce battery consumption.

Not a direct answer to your question but if you’re using Webex you should not need to have the standalone Proximity application as the functionality it provides it integrated in the Webex application.
