"9" to get a dial tone

We are about to deploy a CallManager 4.1. All users will have their own DID. How do I specify in CallManager that the users have to dial 9 to get a dial tune and in order to call outside.

Create a "Route Pattern" of 9.@, check the "provide secondary dial tone", and finally select the "PreDot" from the strip digits for the called number.

Would it be the same proces, if we wanted to use "1" instead of "9"?

Well sure, you could create a route pattern of 1.@ but 9 is generally accepted as the "outside access" number but its really personal preference.
