Hi forum,
I have trouble with the Play in Future tab which is not working in the DMM. When clicked it starts loading the Java for a brief moment, and then it stays blank like the screenshot which I am sending in attach.
Bear in mind, that the DMM instalation is demo in VmWare. I have Java runtime (1.6.0_20), and tried through IE 8.0, Firefox 3.6.3 & Chrome but still the same result.
Does anyone encountered the same problem?
Regards,
Tiberie

Tiberie,
I am running out of things to try other then re-installing the VM...
Some other things to look at...
From the workstation that you are accessing from:
* What is the browser version?
* Clear the browser cache
* Clear the JAVA cache
* What is your browser Language\regional settings set to?
The regional settings must be english/US

What is the system that you are running VMware version on?
What is the Memory available on the system for this VM?
Requirements and limitations ---------------------------- To use VMware images, a computer running Microsoft Windows with at least 4.5GB of RAM (2.5GB for the Digital Media Manager and 2GB for Show and Share) and at least 10GB of available HDD space is required. If you don't have a single computer with this RAM, you can use two and run the images separately. Given the images are designed for demo purposes only, it is recommended to restart the images before the demo begins. Reboot the DMM first and wait until it comes up before rebooting Show and Share.

Hi Tomas,
The system version of the images is:
DMM-VM.5.2.0.25
CVP-VM.5.2.0.20
I have 4GB of RAM, and been waiting for + 4GB to arrive soon. In the mean time, I have both the VmWare images running on the same platform simultaneously. I know about the limitation and requirements. Do you think this might be the cause?

Yes this is most likely the issue.
You could possibly test by shutting down the Show and Share Server
and have the DMM only running and retry the test.

The Startup error is not the issue. The error is an error related to HA which
is not available at this time and has no effect on the operation of the DMM at
this time.

Please gather the following snapshots and upload for me:
* DMM Admin Module->Alerts Tab
* DMM Admin Module->Services->DMM Server
Thanks

Thank you again Tomas!
It was the Language\regional settings that kept me from using the Play in future tab. Once I changed them to US/English it worked.
Sincerely,
Tiberie

hi all,
i would like to add my experience also, note that also the java JRE should have the same regional settings as the browser.
i had explorer with eng/US but the java JRE in IT, and the play in the futre tab did not work.
i've reinstalled the JRE, for windows users, change the system locale to eng/US first, and now play in the futre works fine.

Hi all,
I have same problem, but it is not a solution to change regional settings for me, because MS Office different formats stopped working.
Thanks,
Elena

Elena,
unfortunately, changing the Language\Regional settings to Eng\US is a requirement
for the "Play in Furture" feature. This is going to be addressed in a Future release.
Another option for you may be to setup a "Proxy" Machine\Device for DMS
Admins to use for scheduling. For Example:
* Setup a Machine for Terminal Services or Remote Desktop with the Language Settings
with Eng\US. Have DMS admins use this method to schedule events.
* Setup a VMware Machine to do the same as above
I hope this helps!

Hello.. I'm running DMM 5.2.2. I'm having the same issue mentioned in this thread. I don't have to much knowledge on this. I see that regional settings need to be changed. Where does this need to occur? On the DMM VM box, browser, JRE. It's not clear to me where these settings need to be changed.
