Re-Plugging USB Headset Requires ReCalibration

I must have something messed up in my configuration. When I unplug my USB headset from my laptop when I go to meetings (even when I completely exit the Cisco Softphone), when I plug it back in later the softphone requires that I repeat the headset calibration because it doesn't find the previous USB device. It's like every time I plug the USB headset back in, the softphone thinks its new.

This can't possibly be the way they designed the product since unplugging a USB headset is just an obvious thing that people do when they move around their laptop.

So does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

Also, I saw in the support area that this product is already EOL? I just got it recently and my company is requiring that we use it since 40% of us have to be mobile (i.e. no desk phone). I think we switched to Cisco because they had the full range of IP phone needs.

Hi Tom,

In regards to the end of life notification, that's referring to Cisco Softphone, not Cisco IP Communicator (which I assume you are using)

HTH,

Chris
