Does anyone know how to set the ring duration on a specific phone before call goes to voicemail?
We are using CME 3.2 and we have 7940 series IP phones.
Thanks in advance for your help.

You may define how long a phone can ring with no answer before returning disconnect tone to the caller. This timeout is used only for extensions that do not have call-forward-no-answer (CFNA) configured
telephony-service
timeouts ringing 120
if u have forward to voice mail do the following
ephone-dn 2 dual-line
call-forward noan [voicemail number]timeout 10
change the 10 to whatever number u want
good luck

I am a bit confused. The extension forwards to voicemail, so do I need to set both "timeouts ringing" and "call-forward noan [voicemail number]timeout"?

Hi mmonteiro11,
telephony-service
timeouts ringing 120
- THE ABOVE IS A TELEPHONY SERVICE COMMAND TO BE SET TO ALL PHONES. THIS COMMAND SETS THE PHONE TO RING FOR X SECOND OR IN THIS CASE 120 SECONDS. YOU SHOULDN'T NEED THIS THOUGH.
call-forward noan [voicemail number]timeout 10
- THIS COMMAND SET'S THE NO ANWSER TIMEOUT TO 10 AFTER 10 SECONDS THE CALL WILL FORWARD TO VOICEMAIL. THIS COMMAND SHOULD BE THE ONLY ONE YOU NEED.
HTH, Please rate if so.
Regards,
Justin
