Hi all,
Can SRST be configure on a MGCP gateway?, if so can some one tell me how o give me a link where i can get some examples?
I tried to do this configuration but i have problems with the incoming calls, and what i observe was that the ports that are use by the application mgcpapp are blocked and can not be use by the SRST.
If some one knows somthing please let mi know, thank you very much.

Yes you can configure SRST on a gateway configured for mgcp.
You probably need to add the command call application alternate DEFAULT
When the mgcp app is not available then it will hand the call off to the default app which is application session.
Hope this helps.

Thank you, but that tip did not help, there is no such command, look i am using cisco ios 12.2(15)ZJ1 for a 1760 platform this is what i have for MGCP gateway.
Just to make sure, the command that you mentioned is use in the pots wher you apply the application mgcpapp command?

It is a global config command
Look at this document :

Thank you,
I have configured my gateway as the example but i have the same results, i can not recieve incoming calls, i see some ccm-manager commands in the version that i am running this commands do not appear. So i can not use the ccm-manager fallback-mgcp command.
Is there any problem with the ios version that i am using?

I had the same problem on just recently on a
2610XM with 12.2(11)T
It was fixed when this command was entered:
ccm-manager fallback-mgcp
If you cannot enter this command try another IOS
version.

Thank you,
I have check some documentation and what i found is that version 2.0 and 3.0 does not work properly with MGCP gateway on a 1760 platforms, if i what this configuration works i have to use an older version.
Thank you All.

Can you provide the link to the docs you have found?
We have been unsuccessful in doing this as well. Wherever we needed the SRST feature, we wound up setting up the gateway in H323 mode.
Seems that the MGCP gateway can't grab any PRI channels when SRST is "on".

i checked this with a tool on the web the link is http://www.cisco.com/go/fn fn stands for feature navigator, this tool tells you if the combination of application that you are trying to run on any platform works properly and with which version it runs...
i hope it helps you.

I found another document:
My questions are:
Why I should configure VoIP Dial-peer for IP Phone?
If FXS and FXO are installed, must I configure the Dial-peer voice x pots one time for MGCP (application mgcpapp) and one time for H.323 (destination-pattern)?
If the Answer is yes, every time that I modify something on the FXS or FXO via MGCP, Should I modify too on Router via CLI (if I will that all work fine in Fallback mode)?

Yes, if you are running MGCP-Failback (SRST) on your remote site gateways you will need to modify the H.323 dial-peers to match your MGCP configuration. If you have faxes, modems, etc remember to plar them to the correct destination.
