When I attempt to update an auto registered phone I get the following message
"...this phone already has a valid configuration"
CCM 4.1.3 sr2
CRS 3.5.4
I used bat to add the phones to the call manager and used dummy mac addresses. The phones are the same model numbers.

Is Auto Registration still enabled? Does the phone fall into the auto registered DN range? Make sure it does.
Check out the TAPS traces at
c:\Program Files\Cisco\Trace\TAPS on CCM Publisher
You might see somthing like this:
Jan 31 2006 08:20:21 AM SEP00152B340DC5 0915004 0915012 0915004 FAILED Telephone Number does not fall in the Auto-Registered range set for the primary Cisco CallManager.
Explaining the above comment, usually you get a pretty good description of what the issue is.

Hi there,
Try delete the phone then have it auto register again.
Call The TAPS point again.
This should work.
