unity failover error

I have 2 new Unity's [4.04] and I am trying to set up the Fail Over feature.

When I run the FOW on the primary or secondary server - I get the following errors: [at the sql replication set stage]

- "Failed to configure Sql replication for cisco unity failover" - I then hit ok and get: "Failed to find sql publication on the primary server. The sql publication is required for failover. Disable all cisco unity replication using sql enterprise svc mgr and run again.

dns and wins is working. I even set them in the hosts and lmhosts just in case. The avcsnodemgr, mssqlserver, and sqlserveragent are all running under the domain acount UnityMsgStoreSvc [since it has proper settings] I am initiating the FOW using the UnityInstall account. I don't know a lot about sql. Any help would be great.

Hi,

Make sure that the password for the SQL services are same in both the Primary and the Backup server.

Also check the failover logs and try to run the Failover Monitor. That would give you more decent idea about the faiolover problem.

Check these services:

AvCsGateway

AvSqlChangeWriter

Try to do a manual failover with the Failover Monitor and see what the monitor splits out.
