Each PVDM-12 contains 3 TI 549 DSPs and can
run up to twelve voice calls using a low complexity CODEC (G.711, G.729a/b, G.726)
or Runs up to six voice calls using a high complexity CODEC (G.729, G.728, G.723.1).
The module you have presently a NM-HDV-1E1-12 has a
Single-port, 12-channel E1 voice/fax Network Module (supports 12-channels
of medium complexity VoCoders: G.729a/b, G726, G.711 and fax or 6 channels of
G.726, G.729, G.723.1, G.728, G729a/b, G.711 and fax). This product can be
upgraded to an NM-HDV-1E1-30 simply by adding two additional PVDM-12= modules, which mean, you now have three PVDM-12 which supports 12 calls at medium complexity
and six call at high complexity.
With three PVDMS you can suport 36 calls at medium and 18 calls
at high complexity.
