Hello,
I am having next issue with a presentation.
It is a test presentation but I could not make the video file to play. This presentation has a couple of logos, text and a viedeo area with the problem I mentioned. When I attached content to it I did the routine procedure but when I push it to DMP it just do not play. I go the designer and open the playlist content I find that this file type is shown as HTML (picture attached).
Any comments or suggestions?

If the video is not confidential, can you please upload here so I can test in my
lab?
Also, Create another template presentation and only add this video
file.
Also, please provide the exact steps that you are using to add
the video content to your DMD presentation.
Also, where is the video content stored?
Please provide the screen capture of the
VIEW SCREEN of the video asset in the
Digital Signage Library.
Thanks
T.

Tom,
The video file is too heavy, is there any other way to share it?
I just added 3 more files to the playlist and I found a problem here:
2 file ext are .ts (do not play)
2 file ext are .mpg
I had never had troubles to play .ts files until now even in stand alone mode.
The process I follow up to display content is the normal:
~ Load video file to web server (Apache)
~ Load file to media library
~ Create a presentation with a playlist
~ Add content to the playlist
Here is where the problem shows up .ts files type changes to HTML and .mpg stay as VIDEO. Like I said this is not the first time I use .ts files.
The reason why they have this extension is because that is the way the transcoding software delivers the final video.

Please try to upload the smaller
.ts & .mpg files like:
QT-ARRRIESGADO.ts
SigmaFull.mpg
I want to look at those files…
Also, if the videos are ftp'd to
the DMP locally, do the videos
play on the DMP directly?
Thanks

I have tested .ts & .mpg in my lab setup and all is well.
This may be due to the media file itself.
Please download the mediainfo application:
http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en
and use this tool to open each problem file and capture
the TEXT view of each file(s) media information and
paste & upload in separate text files.
Thanks

Tom,
Here are the captures, I don't think there is something wrong with the files since they are beng played in another DMP in stand alone.
If you test these videos try them in vertical horientation since I could not make'em play in vertical mode. If you still have the image of my DMD check it out, I thought the video file would be played vertically as weel but it was not. The rectangle is horizontal in a vertical template but the file tries to play horisontal.
Hope I described it fine

Hi Tom,
Any news on this, have you tried it in your lab?
Regards!
