Why no extension mics for the 7935?

Can anyone tell me why the 7935 has no extension mic capability? Polycom reps have even told me that there will NEVER be an IP conference phone with extension mics. Is it a limitation of the technology? I don't understand why thiscan't be done.

Not sure why but would be interested in who at Polycom indicated that extension mics would never be possible. That would limit Polycom's own market. Polycom was unable to provide extension mic capability in time for 7935 to go to market.

We are currently addressing the situation and we believe we will have a solution in the first quarter or at least first half of CY 2004.
