Wrong Date & Time on 7970 IP Phone

For some reason the date shown on one of my 7970 IP phones is wrong. It's one day behind. Rest of the phones are correct. I checked Call Manager server that is correct too.

I restarted the phone couple of time but it still shows the wrong date.

Any idea how to fix this?

Do you have CCM 4.0 or 3.3.(4)????

What firmware version do you have? Do you have the time set to call mngr time or gmt time.

Check in date/time configuration what is time set to.

Try to change to local CCM time zone.Time which will be displayed on IP phone should be of the server.

If you have created groups please check the time zone

configured.

Where is the date/time configuration to which you refer? I have the same problem. Yesterday only one of the 7970 phones we have had this problem; today two of three do (maybe the third, haven't checked).

Any assistance is appreciated.

In CCMAdmin, under System > Date/Time group, create a new group and specify the timezone as the actual timezone, like PST or CST (and not local time of CCM).

Create a new device pool with this Date/Time group, and assign the new device pool to the 7970 phone. Reset Phone, and that may help you here.

Thank you for the directions. However, this is how my system is currently set up and I still have the incorrect date on all 7970 phones. I have also noticed that the time first thing in the morning is usually off by a couple of minutes. If I reset the phone, it will catch back up. Any further ideas?

I ran the latest firmware upgrade file 6.0 and it fixed the date issue for me.

Fantastic. Where can I find the latest firmware upgrade? I've been looking for it but can't seem to locate.

There is an executable file called "term 6.01s" which fixed the date on the phone. As far as the time this is what I got from TAC

The 7970 phone shows time as GMT not local

Symptoms:

7970 IP Phone displays time in GMT rather than local time CallManager server

is configured for

Conditions:

CallManager 3.3(3)sr3 and later

7970 running 5-0-1-0 load and later

Workaround:

Configure a new Date/Time Group with the TimeZone the server is in, then

update the Device Pool with the new Date/Time Group and place the 7970 in that

Date/Time Group
