Add expansion modules Nexus 5600

Hi,

I have a 5624Q with one module 12*40G. I want to add another module of 12 ports.

Can I do it on a switch in production? Will it cut the first module too, does the switch need to be powered off ?

Hello Jeremy,

The expansion module can be installed in the switch without any disruption. The switch and the existing module will continue to operate normally. You just install the GEM, and after power on, you should see the module/interfaces from that slot.
