Hyperflex - How to change MAC Pool

Hi,

I have installed one hyperflex cluster but by mistake i used duplicated Mac Prefix during installation and so i need to change them.  Do i need to reiinstall hyperflex cluster from scratch or how its possible change MAC Pool on UCSM.?

Hi,

I manged to solve adding to mac address pools new mac address block and then deleted old mac-address block.

Then i had to reset Mac Address at each Server at VNIC level to force use new MAC-address. Then i bring up hyperflex cluster and it seems OK.

In later versions of ESXi, your VMK interfaces are all going to use 0050/VMware macs anyway.

As long as ESXi doesn't jumble the VMNIC order around, you will probably be fine.

I would also expect future node expansions to work fine, as that is just cloning a template, and doesn't look at the individual pools in question aside from simply pulling values from the linked pools.

Do a 'esxcfg-vmknic -l' on all your esxi hosts and make sure vmk0 is always using 0050 mac.
