Hi,
Are you able to advise what has to be done to change a hostname?
I made a mistake entering the hostname and I can't rectified it. It came up with error "String failed to match token pattern at '^" marker".
I did removed the entire config (write erase) and try again but that didn't help.
Here is what we have
Hardware
cisco Nexus 4000 Chassis ("20x10GE/supervisor")Hardware
cisco Nexus 4000 Chassis ("20x10GE/supervisor")
system: version 4.1(2)E1(1f)
TIA

Hi,
No. It is in this format
1aa-b222-cc3
We use the same format on the Nexus 5548 without any problem.
Thanks.

Hi,
My problem was I start the hostname with a numeric. ie. 2TP-... As long as the hostname starts with a letter ie. TP2... it is fine.
Thanks.

Hello PF,
Nexus 4000 query
#switchname ---> configures the switch hostname.
