2610 router booting prob

Hi All..

i am gettign folowing message while i boot 2610 router,

device does not contain a valid magic number

boot: cannot open "flash:"

boot: cannot determine first file name on device "flash:"

C2600 platform with 32768 Kbytes of main memory

I try with tftpdnld command from rommon mode but its not working it says Ready to Download and get timed out..

Any body knows reply....

WEre you able to ping the tftp server before trying to download in rommon?

Hello

In rommon mode if i setup the ip address and all than it takes it properly but if i ping from tftp to router ip address configured than it wont ping.

i found my flash is empty or currepted...and the tftp is the way to load ios i have from tftp server....

i follow

-configure ip add, subnet mask, tftp server add. from rommon mode.

-but still i cant ping router ip address i configured.

-tftp is working fine i tried by ping from another workstation in my network.

anybody has solution do reply..

if you are not able to load IOS from ROMMON mode through TFTP, they you can load IOS only through XMODEM.

Hi,

what router model you are using, if you can try reseting the flash or replaced the flash.
