I have afew Citrix servers with dual NICs. I'd like to team the NICs but am not sure how to configure the ports on the 3650 to work correctly in this setup.

Thanks

Andy

Hi AVER,

Here you go with the link for configuring etherchannel between 2 nics or any non cisco devices and cisco switches.

Thanks,

Looking at this document it appears for my needs that I just set a pair of ports in an admin group and set the mode to auto (default) does this seem correct?

So the 2 ports connected to the teamed NICs on my server would have

set port channel fastethernet 1-2 admin_group 1

set port channel fastethernet 1-2 mode auto

Hi,

First make sure if your NIC cards support teaming. If they do they must be using LACP only. Then you have to configure your switch ports using the LACP mode. First configure the switch ports and then the server ports.Make sure that your both the Nics are connected to the same switch.

LACP has 3 modes, Active Passive and on.

Just make sure that you are using the right mode, I would suggest On.Use the link given by Ankur in the first port.
