Folks,

I am attempting to get a BayStack 820 to dial via ISDN into a 3745 with a PRI. The call answers and PPP seems to authenticate but I can't get IP across the circuit. A show caller user nnnn detail gets the following (note the NCP: closed BACP):

sho caller user so.richmond1 detail

User: so.richmond1, line Se2/0:7, service PPP

Connected for 00:32:59, Idle for 00:33:00

Timeouts: Limit Remaining Timer Type

- - -

PPP: LCP Open, multilink Open, PAP (<-)

LCP: -> peer, AuthProto, MagicNumber, MRRU, EndpointDisc

<- peer, MRU, MagicNumber, MRRU, EndpointDisc

NCP: Closed BACP

Dialer: Connected to <unknown phone number>, inbound

Type is ISDN, group Di1

IP: Local 172.31.4.17/30, remote 172.31.4.18

Bundle: Member of so.richmond1

Counts: 60 packets input, 1097 bytes, 0 no buffer

24 input errors, 3 CRC, 9 frame, 0 overrun

63 packets output, 971 bytes, 1 underruns

1 output errors, 0 collisions, 14 interface resets

User: so.richmond1, line Di1, service PPP

Connected for 00:33:00, Idle for 00:33:00

Timeouts: Limit Remaining Timer Type

02:00:00 01:26:59 Dialer idle

IP: Local 172.31.4.17/30, remote 172.31.4.18

Bundle: Bundle so.richmond1, 1 link

Counts: 171 packets input, 2374 bytes, 0 no buffer

0 input errors, 0 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun

171 packets output, 1866 bytes, 0 underruns

0 output errors, 0 collisions, 0 interface resets

when I do debug ppp negotiat I get the following(attached). The 3745 config is attached as well

Any help would be appreciated....

cheers

Greg

I have looked at debugs and it seems that 3745 is not installing the host route for 172.31.4.18/32 and gets disconnected. You can try to remoce stack compression config from BayStack 820 which was rejected during CCP. So try to remove that and see if that makes any difference.

Also i am assumming that RADIUS is no injecting something fishy here as we have authentication and authorization from radius is configured. You might need to try both locally just to test it out.

Also instead of dialer profile, just try legacy dialer config.

Need so see "debug radius" and "debug aaa authorization" in addition to "debug ppp nego".
