4506 Failing to issue DHCP address

I have a 3750 (48 Port PoE) connected to two 4506's (Core). On the User switch the data vlan is 10 the voice vlan is 20. 4506#1 is the root for VLAN 10 and 20, 4506#2 is secondary. The both have have a DHCP scope of:

ip dhcp pool Phone#1

network 172.30.3.0 255.255.255.128

default-router 172.30.3.1

lease 10

option 150 ip 172.30.10.65

I am running HSRP between the two 4506's and 4506#1 is the active HSRP router for the subnet. Yet when I plug an IP phone in the user switch port I grab an address from 4506#2. I debug 4506#1 and I get the following messages:

#1) DHCP pool Phone#1 is empty

#2) DHCP request from 0.0.0.0 is not on same subnet as Phone#1 172.30.3.0/25.

Both 4506's are pretty much confgured the same, with minor differnces...so I am at a loss as to why 4506#1 is not issueing an address. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you check whether 4506#2 is the active currenlt for your Vlans.

Do show standby on 4506#1 and will be able to see that.

Please paste the config from both the Core switches and also from 3750.

4506#1 is showing as active under HSRP...I will try and post configs

Oddly enough if I change the subnet and mask it starts working. My initial config had 172.30.3.0/25 for one phone subnet and 172.30.3.128/25 for the second phone subnet. If I change it to 172.30.3.0/24 for one subnet and 172.30.4.0/24 for the second both, 4506's issue address's with no problem.

Please close this thread...found the problem...misconfigured dhcp exclusion range.

Thanks
