I am trying to upgrade Sup2/MSFC2 to IOS v12.2SXD. This requires 64MB flash, so we have a 64MB ATA flash card as the bootflash is only 32MB. However, as it is an ATA card, this is referenced as disk0: which does not seem to be valid from the RP.
My options as I see them are
i) upgrade bootflsh to 64MB
or
ii) use a 12.1 version of IOS
Anybody else come across this problem, and perhaps have a different solution?

please ignore me if this is very silly question, but have you made sure the flash card is formatted?

Hi
Yes, the card is formatted and is readable.

Hi,
Please try sup-disk0: from RP, you wont be able to read disk0: from RP.Also please format the ATA flash card prior using it.

Hi
Thanks for that. I don't think I tried sup-disk0:, so I'll have a look tomorrow. The card is formatted (I actually use two, one that is Hybrid formatted, and one Native formatted.)

In Native IOS you would not use "sup-disk0:" convention. Can you check if you have the minimum required ROMMON of 7.1(1).

Aha! Useful link. I'll look into that (I think I know where I'm going wrong now anyway.)
