Using multi-host mode, can a number of systems be managed/filtered by MAC address per 802.1x port? The switch is a 2950.
Does it matter if there are vlans set up on the 2950 using 802.1q?

No, as stated in the documentation only the first mac-address is authenticated all others on the multi-host port are allowed until the port becomes unauthorized - at which point the port denies all traffic until reauthorized.
