ADSL cisco 1721

I am connecting a cisco 1721 to a adsl line in (Paris).

I have asked the ISP for any router configuration options to input into the router? But the ISP have said there is no need as the cisco router will work?

Has anyone done this before and if so what config did you use on the adsl interface?

You need to configure the cisco router for different parameters in order to make it work. So you need to ask the ISP about PVC, type of line (bridging,PPPoA, PPPoE etc)IP address assignment etc. You need to configure cisco router based on that information before it will work.
