Area-ID in decimal format

Hi,

In Cisco we specify the area id in decimal format , but in all show commands the display is in ip address format. Is there any specific reason for not displaying in decimal format, if so please let us know.

Check the the IOS ver ur using.... may be its specific to that IOS... i hv used

decimal area, and hv seen decimal areas ONLY in show cmd, and ip address if configured as areas...

Check the cavets for that particular IOS...
