Hello, I am a beginner network engineer. I'm currently facing a problem and would like some advice.
The router currently in use is C3725, which uses an ATM interface called 1A-OC3SMI.
The config settings for both routers are as follows.
interface ATM2/0
no ip address
no atm ilmi-keepalive

interface ATM2/0.50 point-to-point
ip address x.x.x.x x.x.x.x
no ip redirects
no ip unreachable
no ip proxy-arp

!
Currently, the C3725 router is using version 12.3(9), and when I connect the optical cable to both routers, the link keeps repeating up/down.
I would like to receive advice on whether there is a problem with the config or whether I need to check something else.
