What is the best way to boot a CAT if you have bootflash and a PCMCIA card in the chassis?
Is it boot from bootflash and then PCMCIA card if the image in bootflash is corrupt?
Or is it boot from card and then bootflash if the image on the card is corrupt?

Booting from onboard bootflash would be the best. You can use flash card for fall back in case something goes wrong with bootflash.

Can a Sup720(6513) boot an IOS 12.2-Image from a disk?
I tried to this with something like "boot system disk0:xxxx.bin" during the last downtime of the datacenter. The Cat6513 dont't reboot with this config. When i change the command to "boot system sup-bootflash..." the system came up.
I think during the boot the disk isn't initialized and so i can't boot the system image. Is this correct or what is my mistake ;-(.
I can't find any documents in CCO, which describes exact this problem.
