Are you running a Supervisor-II or Supervisor-III engine in the Cat4006? If you are running the Sup-III, broadcast suppression(containment) is accomplished by setting up VLANs on the switch, adding switch ports to the VLANS, which become smaller, more manageabe broadcast domains.
