I performed the recovery procedure mentioned in:

"Recovering Catalyst Switches Running CatOS from Booting Failures"

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps663/products_tech_note09186a00800949c3.shtml

but with the same result!!!!

Any Suggestions, please

Thanx

you didn't mentioned what happened after you enter boot (filename) the attribute seems to be correct and it should work, I have done a lot in my envirment and it has worked for me.

Make sure that your computer is connected with the management port via cat5 cable and then you are able to ping the switch from pc and vise versa, also make sure that TFTP is up and running and you are typing the correct file name. if that still fails then you need to use xmodem.

Hello,

Thanx for replying...

The procedure I did was the same you mentioned. In fact when I issue the boot command I could see the percentage indication in the TFTP server window.

And I got the same above-mentioned result as booting from the switch...

Would you provide more info about Xmodem?

Thanx
