Can anyome tell me what this means? This is from a Cat4006 running 7.4(2)

2002 Dec 12 13:56:16 CST -06:00 %SYS-4-P2_WARN: 1/Traffic from permanent host 00:08:02:ab:80:0b but seen on incorrect port 2/33

2002 Dec 12 13:57:34 CST -06:00 %SYS-4-P2_WARN: 1/Traffic from permanent host 00:02:a5:ac:2a:9f but seen on incorrect port 1/1

These errors keep repeating every 5-10 minutes.

Thanks for the help!

Generally you can search on this site for Cisco error messages and find out what they mean but offhand I'd guess you have static CAM entries configured that are now incorrect because the hosts have moved to different ports.

seems like you have some kind of loop. either the ports are looping or you have really loop in the network. Please open up the tac case with the following information

sh tech, sh logging buffer 1023, sh health 1, sh nvramenv 1

Also make sure you enable bpdu guard on the switch that mite error disable the bad port
