Hello,
I'm migrating my network from existing Cat2924-XL-EN's (24x10/100baseT) to new Cat2950T-24 (Enhanced Image) switches (24x10/100baseT + 2x 1000baseT ports)
On the 2924's there exists configuration commands to block unknown unicast and unknown multicast traffic out of ports.
These commands are:
interface fastethernet 0/x
port block unicast
port block multicast
Now for the new 2950T-(EI) switches I can't seem to find the equivalent commands. Still I need a similar configuration.
Any good suggestions appreciated.
Running CatOS: C2950-I6Q4L2-M Version 12.1(9)EA1

Those configuration options do not exist in software at this time.

Take a look at the Storm Control configuration

Thank you,
I've seen the storm control configuration commands, but they don't give the same functionality (completely blocking UNKNOWN unicast or multicast packets)
as the "port block unicast" or "port block multicast" configuration commands do in the Cat2924.
