I have a single CBW150 access point powered via PoE from an SG250-08HP that keeps restarting itself about once a day, sometimes every other day.
I have only had this device installed since Christmas and it was fine for a while, the logs don't really provide me any insight into what is causing it to fall-over, other than some messages that I can't work out how to act on, nor does google find results. My biggest suspect is power of some kind, but the switch doesn't have any logs to suggest there's an issue with the PoE. Nor is it overloaded with just a VoIP phone and the aforementioned AP. Or maybe I've misconfigured something?

Hello,
could be a physical problem with either the switch(port) on the SG250, or the CBW150. Are you using the passive PoE injector ?
05-15-2024 01:25 AM
Hi @classerased !
I have the same issue... Did you success to fix it?
Have a nice day!
05-15-2024 04:29 AM
Hello,
does the CBW reboot at exactly the same time ? The first thing I would do is to check for (external) power source issues, that is, is power supplied to the device constant, or are there outages ?
I assume you are running the latest firmware version, 1.1.4.0 ?
Have you tried a factory default reset ?

Hi @Georg Pauwen !
Thanks for your time!
> does the CBW reboot at exactly the same time ?
No, not every time same time... for example this morning, the AP reboot 2 times between 9h30 and 10h00!
> is power supplied to the device constant
It's plugged on a old SG-300 and nothing in its log seems talking about poe failure. But anyway, I plug the poe injector to see if reboot still occur! Will see!
> are there outages ?
I will not go through this community if so
> I assume you are running the latest firmware version, 1.1.4.0 ?
What do you mean 1.1.4.0 ? Latest is 10.6.2.0:

I did it month ago when I received the APs. Reset it again might work for days, but that will not reassure myself on the long term! I did not purchase expensive AP to reset it each 6 months...
Thanks again!

Hello,
thanks for the additional info. My bad, I think I checked the firmware for the WAP150 (as the CBW150AX is not listed as such on the Cisco website). Either way, you have the latest firmware installed.
Connecting the APs to something other than the 'old' SG300 might provide a clue. I think you can configure the SG300 to generate SNMP traps for PoE, not sure if you have that configured (see link below).

Don't need to apologize when you take time to help others
> you can configure the SG300 to generate SNMP traps for PoE
Good idea, I will try it!

Hello there,
Bad news: despite with a poe injector, the AP reboot 6 hours ago.. T_T.
So I think there is a hardware issue on these both AP... These APs I bought which I bought second-hand. I think they are still under warranty... any chance that I could request a RMA?
Thanks,
05-21-2024 01:22 AM
Hello,
I am not sure if you can submit an RMA. The page below has a 'Chat with LSC' option (bottom right corner), maybe they can help...

Nice! Thanks for the info @Georg Pauwen !
But I have this error when connecting:
> 400 CAE-XAUTH-ERR okta
05-21-2024 03:01 AM
Hello,
where are you getting the error ? Are you logged in ? What if you start from the login page linked below ?

Hello,
if the chat does not work for you, I can do it for you...let me know. I guess I need some information (serials, exact model, etc.)...

Hi @Georg Pauwen !
Sorry I was off for a couple of days...
This morning my three APs reboot for unknown reason ;(
For info, 2 of APs are now plugged on basic switch with the official POE injector...
I don't know what do to do...
> if the chat does not work for you, I can do it for you...let me know
That's so kind! I could not resist to jump on the opportunity !
But one important info: I'm based in Rennes, France... Is that a problem? (except the fact that make me French of course :D?)

Hi @Georg Pauwen !
I'm so gratfeul to you!
I'm in touch with the guy who sold me APs and i'm waiting the answer.
Meanwhile I've made an ultimate test: I plugged the three APs with POE injector on non-POE swtich (one d-link and one TP-link).
I did not believe at this time that will fix anything as the last APs I plugged on my Cisco POE switch could stay up running for 10+ days.
But this time it's different: none of the three reboot for almost 3 days. This is unprecedented
So, maybe it's fixed, maybe not... Could we pause the RMA procedure and see if situation is stable (anyway, i still dit not have the CCOID)?
Thanks for your precious help and patience!
