I am trying to study for my CCNA and bought some used equipment. Two cisco 2611's and two 2950's. My question is how do I connect the routers to my home verizon fios network? Do I need a straight through cable and connect one to the lan on the fios router and the other to lets say fa0/1 on the cisco router? The two 2950's would then be connected together via crossover cable?
Any direction would be great so I can start somewhere.
Thanks,

Hello,
You need to use straight through cables to connect router/computer to switch and crossover cables to connect the same kind of devices, such as router to router or switch to switch.

Ok great thanks. So I can connect my fios router to fa0/1 on the cisco 2611 with a crossover cable?
