I have a cisco 3508 xl switch that before had no UPS on it and was hit with several power fluctuations and now is in constabt reboot. if I try to go into utility mode it goes to the utility m,ode but when I try to do anythinng on the switch it tells me I have to load flash to at which point it goes into constant reboot mode. Is there anything I can do to get it out of flash reboot and get it operational again? Is there away to reload the flash I am not thinking of?

Hi,
you must bring the switch in the Switch mode (the same as ROMMON). The following document desribe the procedure:
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/474/pswdrec_2900xl.html
When you are in the "switch:" mode you can show the image, delete the old image and install with XModem the new image. The following link describe this:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps607/products_tech_note09186a0080094955.shtml
I hope this helps

Hi peter
I had the switch to where it seemed to be working but now I get the following when it tries to boot. I have reloaded the flash but do not know what I should try next. Any help would be great.

Your switch is failing POST and needs to be replaced. Open a TAC case if you have a contract and get it replaced.
