CiscoWorks for Windows:Browser security settings for Java to run CiscoView

Dear All,

PROBLEM:

I am trying to start CiscoView from CiscoWorks for Windows 6.0 and get an error mesage

"Please grant permissions to launch CiscoView. Quit the browser and start again"

Seems like I need to adjust Java setting in IE 6. Currently I am using Java 1.3.0-C which was installed by CiscoWorks itself. Updating Java to the latest 1.4.2 from Sun did not resolve the problem.

- Could someone kindly help me to identify IE settings to change?

- Or, may be I am wrong, and the issue is something else?

Thank you,

Aleksandr

SOME EXTRA INFORMATION:

Cisco says that Java 1.3.1 is a must... Why in this case they provide 1.3.0_C with the CiscoWorks for Windows 6.0 package?

Anyway, I have tried unstalling 1.3.1 and setting an environment variable "browser_path" as recommended, but it did not work for me... Seems like I still need some security settings for Java

Thank you,

Aleksandr

Got it working!

- Uninstalled MS JVM

- uninstalled JVM 1.3.0_C and 1.3.1

- reboted

- installed JVM 1.3.1

- CiscoView started ...
