Is this a dial-in call to the RAS or dial-out call from the RAS?
When dial-in into the RAS (which has NM-AM-V2) card installed:
If calling in client end has an analog line then we can best get is v34 modulation, if the calling in client is a digital line (T1 etc) then we can V90 modulations. Basically just one A to D conversion.
When dial-out from the RAS (which has NM-AM-V2) card installed:
When NM-AM-V2 calls out to a digital end (remote side is an RAS with T1 etc lines) then we can connect v90 modulation, do v92 etc, but if the remote side into which the V2 calls then v34 is the best modulation we can get.

Connection speeds up to 56 Kbps (per ITU-T V.90 specification)When dialing out to a digital endpoint, this feature allows users to achieve maximum data transfer rates, resulting in faster file transfers, speedier Web access, and faster e-mail downloads.
