I have configured the primary router,(2620)INDY, with an external ADRAN TSU LT. The second router, (1720)NASH, has an internal CSU/DSU. I have put an IP address on the serial interface and basicaly the routers are connected to each other with a cross over cable for lab testing.
1. I can ping from one router to another only to the IP address of the fastethernet connection. I cannot ping the serial IP's. Is this right or should I be able to ping the serial interface?
2. Even though I can ping on one router to the others fastethernet interface I cannot ping from my laptop to the other router. I am using the following for rouring:
ip route 192.168.2.0 255.255.255.0 serial0/0.18
ip route 192.168.3.0 255.255.255.0 serial0/0.23
ip route 192.168.5.0 255.255.255.0 serial0/0.22
ip route 192.168.7.0 255.255.255.0 serial0/0.21
